I loved this book Beth. It was profound and painfully beautiful.

I cannot wait to steal precious moments to read your new book, Kokoro. Wabi Saba became one of my all time favorite books and I happened upon it quite by accident. It was just what I needed at the time. Such is Providence. Since reading Wabi Sabi I have been a part of your Winter Writing Sanctuary and Spring Light Sanctuary. I wrote my first Haiku for a friend after losing his daughter to cancer. Now I feel compelled to write my story as a healing process Thank you, thank you Beth for your wealth of insights.

It's awaiting my next monthly credit on Audible to drop next week and then I shall snaffle it up (I know, not the Japanese way). I share your enthusiasm for Japan and am learning more each day.

Life this year has taken a difficult turn and I am facing the imminent loss of my oldest Sister. I will read this book with gratitude and welcome it's wisdom at one of life's darkest times. I am glad that I will have this wisdom to soak up as I move forward in a very different life. Thank You, as always for your breadth of wisdom 🙏

You're so right Beth, no one talks about this side of book-writing... I would love to write a book for sure - but I think even more than that, I'd love to read it out loud, is that weird?!

The book sounds beautiful. I'll likely listen to the audio. I think there is something very special when a author records their own book, it is spoken in tones intended and has an added element of feeling. Thank you for immersing yourself in that side too allowing us that gift.

My dearly departed MIL was Okinawan, and this deeply resonates with me. Couldn’t find anywhere in US to pre-order, so I did it on Blackwell’s. Very excited to read it. Kudos and congrats! It sounds like an epic journey! Cannot wait!

It will be out later in the year but if you want the U.K. edition (out first) apparently Blackwell’s ships to the US for free so it might be worth checking about Canada ✨https://blackwells.co.uk/bookshop/product/Kokoro-by-Beth-Kempton/9780349425580

Hope you love it
