Beth, I just got my copy of Kokoro and am enthralled! In chapter 6 you mention using oracle cards. Would you tell me what cards you use? I would like to experience the oracle cards but there are so many don’t know where to start. I want some supporting my connection to my Kokoro! Thank you.

Ahh so glad! I actually have an entire bookshelf of oracle cards, maybe sixty or more decks which I use at different times for different things. It’s good to choose ones you like the look and feel of, and you might find a creator you really like. Some of my favourite decks are by Denise Linn, Rebecca Campbell, Sahara Rose, Kim Krans and Chris Anne.

I like your Tao'ish notion of waiting for the words to come rather than forcing them Beth. It took me decades to discover the way to do this reliably. Here is a quote you might enjoy:

"Now I found it in writing sentences. You can write that sentence in a way that you would have written it last year. Or you can write it in the way of the exquisite nuance that is writing in your mind now. But that takes a lot of … waiting for the right word to come." -- Joseph Campbell

I loved the story about the bookshop. I'm intrigued by this and may join you on this journey.

I'm already a day "behind" since I didn't see it yesterday.

Bought a copy of Kokoro for my beautiful friend (and soon to be sort of boss as I start teaching at her yoga studio next week). She visited Japan this time last year and I sent her a copy of Wabi Sabi to read before she went so this will hopefully be a lovely reminder of their time there as well as a moving book.

Looking forward to Autumn light. I plan to make more time for it. I missed a few days of the summer sanctuary and looking at them now I feel the moment has passed for this year. 🍂

Hi Ana, sorry I have only just seen this. I don’t email this challenge out,I share it daily on Notes but that can be a bit hard to find so I also add the questions to this page each day. https://bethkempton.substack.com/p/deep-journalling

Hi again, I had not read the other comments and realized it was a typo! On the date! I am still wondering how to begin to get the daily inspiration for the 36 day journaling support. Thank you so much for offering this.!💜

Hi Beth,

I clicked on your first day today to begin the 36 days, and it told me that it is for paid subscribers only – – so I’m confused. I thought it was free, or is it only free if I am already a paid subscriber to your stack? Also, you say that it is starting October 9instead of September 9 I am assuming that’s a typo? Or is it?

Hi Judith, it is free. Not sure what you clicked on! It’s under Notes each day here on Substack and you can also find it on my Instagram feed at @bethkempton Xx

I now have the Audible version of Kokoro so I can listen to you across the next 36 days and look forward to joining everyone for Autumn Lights ✨🍁✨
